A union is a basic bargaining unit that legally demands recognition during contract negotiations. Without collective bargaining, which Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is trying to kill, there is no such entity and no protection. To the credit of some Green Bay Packers, players have connected the dots between the protests in Madison and their own, loftier positions in life.
