If the mayor of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, has a management style at all, it's probably doggy style.That's because Lucy Lou, who was elected in 2008, is a dog.
Specifically, a border collie.
Reader's Digest recently put this political beast in the spotlight as part of its "We Hear You America" tour, which celebrates the new edition of the magazine's "Off the Beaten Path" travel guide.
"She's perfect for the job. It's a low-paying, highly visible position," Terrie Markesbery, manager of the historic Rabbit Hash General Store, told Michael McLaughlin at AOL News. "She has to do a lot of footwork."
Even the election Lucy Lou won was a little unusual: she defeated a real jackass -- along with a cat, an opossum, a person and a few other dogs.
But personally, I won't recognize the election until I see a birth certificate -- and don't give me any of this short-form breeding record nonsense.
