It's the world's shortest man, a record currently held by 26.4-inch-tall Khagendra Thapa Magar (pictured) -- but a title that's in jeopardy again as reports of someone even shorter have emerged.
Junrey Balawing, a 17-year-old Filipino, is said to be just 22 inches tall -- which would make him the shortest person ever if confirmed.
Guinness World Records plans to visit Balawing in June, when he will turn 18 and become eligible for the title. The record-tracking organization says it will measure him three times over the course of a day -- standing up and lying down each time -- and if he's still shorter than Magar, the crown will be passed again.
Magar won his title when he turned 18 last year, supplanting 27.6-inch-tall Edward Nino Hernandez of Colombia.
Hernandez himself had only held the title for seven months, claiming it when China's tiny phenom He Pingping died in March, 2010.
If Balawing is confirmed as the shortest man in June, the title will have changed hands four times in 15 months.
